How does the school handle promotions and belt rankings?

Our school is a meritocracy, meaning there are no participation awards or promotions. Our students, both adult and kids earn their stripes and belts based on their knowledge and ability to apply their techniques to a fully resisting opponent. In Jiu Jitsu, you are looking to become the best version of yourself and that looks different for each person.
Why is your school cheaper than other options in the area?

It is a common notion to believe that because something is cheap then it cannot be good. There are two factors that drive our pricing. First, we rent space within Kaufmann's Karate so we do not have the full overhead of an independent school. Second, we believe that Jiu Jitsu should be affordable to all who wish to train, especially families. For these reasons we try to maintain a fair balance of good training and affordability.
Do I need to be in shape to start Jiu Jitsu?

No, you do not need to be in shape to start learning Jiu Jitsu at Full Circle JiuJitsu. Our instructors are experienced and will work with you to ensure you get the most out of your training regardless of your current physical condition.
What is the cost?

What does a typical class look like?

A typical class starts with a warm up with specific movements related to BJJ. Once we are warmed up we work on the techniques for that class. After we have finished learning new techniques we may do some positional drilling and some sparring.
